Opinionated Kids

I've had a nice needed blog break, but tonight's dinner conversation with my kids made me giggle, so I thought I'd share it with my blog readers... all four of them! As I was making dinner tonight, I was obnoxiously belting out Katy Perry's song, "Firework" (a frequently played radio tune right now.)
McKenna interrupts me and says, "Mom! You shouldn't sing that song! Katy Perry is bad! She has blue hair!"
I say, "Katy Perry does have some bad songs... but I don't think that "Firework" is a bad song..."
Kenna and I continued to argue over the "badness" of this song until we were suddenly interrupted by another child--Carson. Apparently, he was involved in this too.
In all of his four year old wisdom, he too chastised me, saying: "Mom! That is a bad song! A baby could get a firework, and it could go off in their hand!"

Thank goodness my kids are keeping me on the 'Straight and Narrow!' No more singing bad songs for me!

I have to laugh, because at the very moment I was reading this post, I was listening to the Firework song on my computer! Your kids are too cute!
